Jim Pitre Cup
Award given annually to the first team in any division to reach the finish line.
As a former race director of RAAM, Jim Pitre's greatest contribution was generally increasing participation in the race, especially through the creation of the 8-person division. In 2001, ten teams raced across the country. In 2006, 24 teams competed. To honor Pitre's contribution, RAAM established the Jim Pitre Cup, which is now presented annually to the first team in any division to reach the finish line. In 2006, the 4-man Team Beaver Creek - Vail beat the 8-person Team Type I by a mere five minutes!
In 2011 the Jim Pitre Cup was changed to award the top Corporate Team finisher.
