Cumbres Pass: Team AFC battles JDRF

AFC starting the ascent about mile behind has now pressed hard and passed this 16 person tandem team. Amazing by anyone’s standards!!! Although these teams are not in the same group it is always good to have someone to race. Here at 10,000 plus feet in elevation all of the rider’s limits will be met and more then likely exceeded

Any competition is good competition out there - it's nice to have someone to do some battle against. BTW, nice reports Baby Suga -good stuff

Last year I had the chance to race against these guys when they were on fixies! Beware they are made of stern stuff!! Good luck

The Race Across the West is considered as the toughest part of the World's Toughest Bicycle Race. At just over 1,000 miles contestants from all over the world, will battle heat in the deserts, climbing in the mountains and an intense pace to get to the finish line in Taos, New Mexico. There are solo riders, 2-person and 4-person teams competing.
