TEAM FITISTSA REACHES TAOS

VIC’S RAAMIFICATIONS TEAM FITISTSA REACHES TAOS 14:29EST June 20, 2009 Taos New Mexico NOTE: This story was originally posted on Saturday, just minutes after Team Fitista finished, but seems to have been lost in cyberspace. So, here it is again. Looking as if they’d just been out for a training ride, Kimberly Ford and Linda Bialla of Team Fitista just pulled into Taos, taking right at three days to cover the 1044.2 miles from Oceanside, California to Taos, New Mexico. Earlier this morning when we passed Bialla, high above the Alpine valleys of La Manga Pass, she seemed sincerely happy to see us pull alongside to snap a few photos, “Oh yes, It was so nice to see somebody out there,” she said from the finish line, “Won’t somebody please talk to me?!”
As RAAM CEO Fred Boethling presented the two with their RAW finisher’s medals, Ford asked about their finisher’s jerseys, saying “Those jerseys, getting those jerseys is what motivated us to keep going!”
